The home design, approached with research in the historical context, results in a new-classic, eclectic style with quality wooden boards and terracotta floors.
Textiles and wall colours lend an upscale, English feel to the interiors. Elements of classic Italian residential architecture, such as interconnecting multiple areas for
entertainment on ground floor and bedrooms on first floor, are combined with contemporary elements, like a red-clay tennis court and airconditioning. Aesthetically, the house recalls traditional typologies as well as traditional materials
including wood and stone locally sourced.
A contemporary influence, however, was the decision to include Asian-sourced furnishing from the owner’s travels, including Chinese precious wardrobes in the master bedroom. Luxurious, yet very comfortable, this is an inspirational retreat full
of colour and a welcoming vibe, blending traditional and modern European architecture.

location to enjoy the beauty of coastal and Tuscany Maremma. The nearby Bolgheri
is the birthplace of many of the excellent wines from Tuscany, the Super Tuscans (Cantine Incisa, Antinori, Frattini to name some). Volterra, famous for its alabaster, such as Florence, which needs no introduction, can be reached with a wonderful drive.
