Tucked away in the heart of Torre delle Stelle, one of the most charming coastal gems in southern Sardinia, Villa Orchidea offers guests an exclusive retreat where Mediterranean nature and elegance blend perfectly.

With more than 35 km of coastline made up of hidden coves, long white beaches and fragrant Mediterranean shrubs, this is a place made for truly experiencing the sea.
In 1963, Belgian baroness Edith Pelgrims de Bigard came across a fishing village called Is Tellas. She fell in love with the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks and the spectacular cliffs plunging into crystal-clear waters. She bought the surrounding land and two beautiful bays. The sky was lit up by stars every night, inspiring her to rename the area Torre delle Stelle (Tower of Stars). Roads and public services were built and a community began to flourish. The streets were named after constellations and she built a traditional Sardinian villa at her favourite spot along the Genn'e Mari bay.
Today, Torre delle Stelle remains an enchanting seaside retreat for discerning travellers. With over a thousand villas scattered among green hills and two sandy bays, it is located between Cagliari and the idyllic town of Villasimius. The area boasts the longest summers on the island thanks to its warm, dry south-eastern exposure. From April to June, spring flowers perfume the breeze and the sea is already warm. From September to the end of October, the summer atmosphere continues before the climate gradually cools.
During July and August, the village comes alive with Italian and international tourists, but remains charming and authentic, with Italian prevailing in the shops and on the beaches. The two beaches, Genn'e Mari and Cann'e Sisa, are famous for their soft white sand and turquoise waters.
Torre delle Stelle also has tennis and football pitches, markets, beach kiosks, a church, restaurants, bars and live music venues such as the Acquario complex at the entrance to the village. The location is a gateway to southern Sardinia: Nuragic archaeological sites, hiking trails in the Sette Fratelli mountains and water adventures in the Capo Carbonara Marine Reserve.

The area is perfect for snorkelling, diving, sailing and boat trips.
The villa
Overlooking a golden beach, Villa Orchidea is nestled in a lush Mediterranean garden with direct access to the sea and breathtaking views of the crystal-clear coastline. This private paradise can accommodate up to 20 people in 10 double bedrooms plus 3 additional guests on two sofa beds (1 double + 1 single). Spread over several levels, the villa offers the perfect layout for families, groups of friends or small private retreats.
One of its most unique features is its three swimming pools: an infinity pool with panoramic views, a second outdoor pool and a heated 6-seater hot tub, ideal for enjoying an aperitif at sunset by the sea. Sun terraces and shaded verandas, well-manicured lawns and outdoor dining areas create a perfect connection between indoors and outdoors.
The upper floor features a living room overlooking the sea and a fully equipped kitchen. A second living room and kitchenette are located in the beach-level bungalow. A multifunctional space for yoga and meetings, a private gym and terraces ensure comfort and versatility for groups of any size.
